The Environment and TV

Thanks to all those who’ve posted so far, you’re feedback has been really interesting.

A lot of you have been talking about individual responsibility and we just want to ask you to comment on this in more detail i.e.

a) What are all the practical things that you/others could do and how should this work? For example you talk about recycling in the groups - what kind of recycling should happen, who should be responsible for this, how can it be encouraged etc.

b) How you/others feel about doing this?

c) How easy/difficult is to do these things at the moment?

We are interested in anything you have to say on the topics we discussed; however we are particularly interested in the following subject areas:

- Any reactions to the environmental issues raised by the group

(For example, there was a lot of discussion about things people can do themselves on a local level versus global issues which can only be sorted out by politicians - do you agree? Where does responsibility lie? If you could pick just 3 issues that are really important, what would they be and why?)

- Overall thoughts on how the channel can be made into an environmentally aware TV Channel

(What tone of voice should the channel have? How balance appealing to a wide audience alongside more expert/interested viewers? Would a ‘worthy’ topic like this get viewers?!)
